Our rates are $550 for 1-4 people, with an additional $100 per person for extra anglers. For groups of 5, the price is $650, and $750 for a group of 6. Do I need a fishing license to fish with Reelking Charter?
Yes, anyone aged 16 or older must have a valid Ohio fishing license. It's recommended to purchase your license online through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources before your trip. Licenses are also available at local bait shops and marinas.

What types of fish can we expect to catch?
Depending on the season, Reelking Charter targets walleye, yellow perch, and salmon. Walleye fishing is typically best from early April to mid-July in Bolles Harbor. Salmon fishing in Ludington runs from August 1st to August 24th, and perch fishing is popular from the second week of September through the third week of October.

What is included in the charter trip?
Captain Shaun provides all necessary fishing equipment, including rods, reels, lures, and live bait. He also offers fish cleaning services at the end of your trip, so you can take your catch home ready to cook.

What time does the fishing trip start, and how long does it last?
Fishing trips with Reelking Charter depart at 6:00 AM or 1:00 PM, depending on your preference. Each trip runs for 5 hours or until you reach your legal limit of fish—whichever comes first. Captain Shaun is all about maximizing your time on the water, so be sure to arrive a few minutes early to get settled and ready for action. Early morning trips are especially popular during peak walleye and perch seasons!

What should we bring on the trip?
For your trip with Reelking Charter, be sure to bring a valid Ohio fishing license, layered clothing for changing weather, non-slip shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, snacks and drinks (no glass), and a cooler for your cleaned fish. If you're bringing kids, don't forget child-sized life jackets unless arranged ahead of time. Captain Shaun provides all the fishing gear, bait, and even cleans your catch, so you can focus on having a great day on the water.

Are children allowed on the charter?
Absolutely! Captain Shaun enjoys introducing young anglers to fishing. Please bring appropriately sized life vests for children, as they may not be available on board.

What happens if the weather is bad on the day of our trip?
Safety is a top priority. If weather conditions are unfavorable, Captain Shaun will contact you to reschedule your trip. He closely monitors weather forecasts to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

Can we bring our own fishing gear?
While all necessary equipment is provided, you're welcome to bring your own gear if you prefer. Captain Shaun can offer guidance on the best setups for Lake Erie fishing.

Is alcohol permitted on the boat?
Yes, you may bring beer on board, but please avoid glass containers for safety reasons. Hard liquor is not permitted.
